Cranston's role as Walter White may be the selling point for the memoirs as Breaking Bad was hugely popular and has already gone down in history as one of the most viewed and widely discussed series on television. However, the memoirs will not merely concern Cranston's role on the show but his life and career leading up to, as the publishers aptly put it, to "one of the greatest performances of our time."

In their press release Scribner promised the 58-year-old 's memoirs will be "a deeply candid work, Cranston's memoir will offer fascinating insights into his early years, the craft of acting, and his experiences on the landmark series Breaking Bad."
