This is not the first time Short has been arrested for violent crimes. Indeed, it is not the first time this year Short has been arrested! On Valentine's Day, according to TMZ, Short was arrested at his home in Woodland Hills, L.A. for physically attacking his estranged wife, dancer Tanee McCall. McCall filed for divorce last September and requested sole custody of their daughter. Spousal battery charges were brought against Short and, as the incident occurred in front of his two children aged 2 and 10, he was also charged with child abuse due to inflicting emotional trauma. This did not appear to deter Short from further assaulting his wife after an argument two weeks later. Short was once again arrested.
Short appeared in court to face the charges relating to the Valentine's Day assault on Tuesday (25th March) and pleaded not guilty to both the spousal battery and child abuse charges. No court date has yet been set for Short to face the latest battery charges from the restaurant altercation.
