Christian Bale + Aaron Sorkin + David Fincher = Amazing Steve Jobs Biopic

Christian Bale could play Steve Jobs in the forthcoming biopic directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin. Though the writer-director team is enough to whet appetites, the addition of Oscar winner Bale to the mix basically means this movie cannot fail. Sort of.

Bale, who recently scored an Oscar nomination for American Hustle, is very much Fincher's first choice for the movie considered a companion piece to Fincher and Sorkin's The Social Network.

Studio co-chair Amy Pascal, who previously worked with Fincher on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is believed to be happy to go along with the director's demands.
The project will take a widely different approach to the instantly forgettable Ashton Kutcher biopic in that it will revolve around three long scenes, each detailing a different product launch. The movie will cover the original Mac in 1984, the widely admired but commercially unsuccessful NeXT computer that Jobs built after getting the boot from Apple, and the game-changing iPod that marked his triumphant return:
