Pee-wee's Big Adventure Bicycle Fetches $36,600

A bicycle featured in Paul Reuben's 1985 film Pee-wee's Big Adventure sold for $36,600 (_Gbp_22,875) at an online auction on Thursday (06Mar14).

The red and white beach cruiser, was listed on eBay.com earlier this week (begs03Mar14) along with an autographed photo of Reubens and a letter of authenticity from studio bosses.

The bike was purchased in 2010 for $10,000 (£6,250) and bidding started at $8,000 (£5,000).
