After Separation, The Show Must Go On For Robin Thicke... Except For Three Cancelled Gigs

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are ending their marriage. The couple, who first met when Thicke was just 14 and tied the knot in 2005, are calling it quits almost a decade later. They have been keeping mum about their reasons, but they did release a statement to People, saying: “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”

It sounds like they’re ending the marriage on good terms – not surprising, considering how vocal the two have been about their love in the past. Last fall (right around the Miley Cyrus VMA storm) Thicke said: “We're pretty sure we've loved each other for a few lives.”

Turns out, Thicke wasn't really ready himself.

While Thicke is going through personal trouble, his career is beginning to suffer as well. On the heels of his separation, Thicke cancelled a concert at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina, TMZ reports. The announcement was made last minute on Monday night, when Thicke was due to take the stage on Tuesday. It wasn’t very professional of him, but can you blame him? This is the third show Thicke has cancelled recently – his gigs on Friday and Saturday last week were also axed. Could this all stem from marital problems, or is there another reason we just don’t know about?
