P Diddy Is Not Engaged To Cassie Despite Posting Pic Of Huge Diamond Ring

Rumors began circulating that hip-hop mogul P Diddy popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, and recording artist, Cassie Ventura all because of a photograph.

The 44 year-old shared a pic on his Instagram page of a huge diamond ring which many of his followers thought was an engagement ring.

"Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat. !," the photo's caption read.

However, the very expensive piece of jewellery is only that, Diddy was simply purchasing a present for his beau, as his rep confirms to E!News that they are not engaged.

Initially, many speculated that the Grammy-Award winner was popping the big question to Cassie via the photo sharing site, and TMZ noted in response to Diddy's post, the 27 year-old singe wrote, "It's Perfect."

The couple have been dating on and off since 2007, they first met after Cassie signed to Diddy's Bad Boy Records back in the early 2000's. He allegedly heard her song 'Me & U' in a club and since then wanted to work with her.

They collaborated on the 2009 song 'Must Be Love' but the track failed to garner any success in the US singles charts.

The record producer, real name Sean Combs, must be feeling in a loving mood as of late, as he as further shared his love for the 'RockaByeBaby' hit maker.

Although he hasn't proposed to Cassie, he did post another photo on Instagram today (Feb 3rd) which said, "I love you. You are more to me than anything in the whole world," along with the photo was the caption "love".

We can only assume it is to his Ms Ventura, maybe an engagement is not too far away?
