New 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Teaser Clip Shows Off A New Wave Of Supervillains [Trailer + Pictures]
A brand new, extended trailer for upcoming superhero action movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released after Sunday's Super Bowl caught the first official trailer. Entitled Enemies Unite, the clip show Peter Parker, who is played by Andrew Garfield, taking on some of his most determined foes yet as his alter-ego Spider-Man.
Jamie Foxx's turn as the super-charged villain Electro is the movie's main talking point and his transition from Oscorp employee Max Dillon to a powerful supervillain with the skills to control electricity features as the new trailer's key scene.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is also the movie where we'll see Peter's former schoolfriend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), make his transition from privileged youngster to formidable bad-guy in his guise as Green Goblin. Though allusions are made to his character, we don't catch a glimpse of Paul Giamatti's heavy-weight villain, Rhino, though earlier teasers tell us we won't be disappointed.
Next Page: The fate of Gwen Stacy.

The new trailer also makes space for a little humor, as Spider-Man is known for, where we see Aunt May (Sally Field) become increasingly suspicious about her nephew's extra-curricular activities and odd behaviour. As being a hero every day weighs down upon the once scrawny and anonymous Peter, we hear him question his ability to continue his role.
"Nothing is what I thought it was," we hear Peter say as Spidey uses every ounce of his super powers to try to defeat the new and menacing influx of baddies. "This is bigger than you, Peter," worries Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy as her character is forced to decide whether she values her relationship with Peter over her own safety.
Fans of the comic books and movie franchise are abuzz with rumours regarding the demise of Gwen Stacy, Peter's girlfriend. Gwen sadly dies in the original stories and we certainly see elements of such a dark scene in the new trailer - Gwen and Peter falling, Peter screaming - but it is not known whether Stone's character will be making her exit in the upcoming sequel.
Nevertheless, the movie promises heavy shots of action, ground-breaking special effects and the cheeky wisecracks we've come to expect from our favourite super hero. "You know what it is I love about being Spider-Man?" asks Peter Parker. "Everything."
