Justin Bieber, his new gal pal Chantel Jeffries, a bunch of friends and quite possibly the baggiest swimming shorts in all the land all emigrated south for winter as the troublesome singer looks to escape the constant glare of the criticising media following his DUI arrest on Thursday, January.

TMZ got his trip viral, along with posting a picture of him on the beach with Jeffries and a group of unknown males. On Twitter and other social media sites, further pictures of the Biebs emerged showing him walking around freely on a beach, with no one around him seeming to acknowledge who he was. How wonderful to be be in a country where Justin Bieber isn't national news.

The singer flew out to the Central American nation to unwind and escape the paps on Friday (24 Jan.) night after refusing to fly to Los Angeles and attend a rehab centre in the LA area. The star sneaked out of the back of his rented Miami mansion late that night to avoid press and his awaiting fans, hoping to make a clean break to a sunnier destination until the heat dies down a little back in the US.

The outing down south has not just kept the stories about Bieber's personal life ticking over, but has also heightened the speculation surrounding him and Jeffries, the woman he was with on Thursday night and who was with him in his Lamborghini when he was pulled over by cops. Jeffries, who has been described as a "pseudo social climber" by the New York Daily News, has a history of career-enhancing relationships, however her link with Bieber is by far her most noteworthy. The model has been linked to P Diddy's son Justin Combs, Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson and even Bieber's close friend Lil Twist.
