Justin Bieber's House Stuffed With Drugs: 5 Young Stars Who Battled Addiction
If there was ever a time that Justin Bieber could be said to have hit rock bottom, it is surely now. Though the 19 year-old pop star may be swanning it on the slopes with his closest chums and peeing his initials into the snow, he leaves a media nightmare back at his Calabasas home where LA police are investigating not only an alleged egg-throwing incident but also the discovery of drugs and drugs paraphernalia found when raiding the star's home.
Justin Bieber Is In A Lot Of Trouble After An Egg-Flinging Incident.
The 'Baby' singer has been on a personal image rollercoaster over the past year or so and has narrowly avoided being severely reprimanded each time, which has boosted the young star's ego and seemingly given him a sense of invincibility. However, this latest incident could prove the last straw for crime enforcement officials, who may decide that enough's enough from the anti-social popstar and deport him back to Canada if he's convicted of felony vandalism.
What's more, those close to Bieber have apparently voiced their fears that the singer should be in rehab due to a serious drug problem and apparent disregard for the law. If he checks into rehab, he certainly won't be the first young star to have succumbed to the tantalising lure of intoxicating substances.
1) Amanda Bynes
One of the more memorable celebrity rehab cases of late has been that of actress Amanda Bynes who in May last year was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana during that notorious bong-throwing incident. The She's The Man actress was diagnosed with schizophrenia last summer after a chain of bizarre incidents, including insulting random celebrities on Twitter, two hit and run incidents, causing mayhem in a dog walking park and setting fire to someone's driveway.
After a judge in August ruled that Bynes had a "lack of capacity to give informed consent to medical care," conservatorship was granted to her mother who saw that her daughter entered rehab to work through her problems. As of December 2013, Bynes returned home from rehab and is planning on keeping a low profile for a while, having signed up for a course in fashion in Los Angeles.

2) Zac Efron
Teen heartthrob Zac Efron reportedly went into rehab in 2013 to battle cocaine addiction, a problem which caused his acting career to suffer. Speculation as to why Efron turned to substance abuse has revolved around girl problems, issues with his parents, and a dissatisfaction with his movie career. Though at first it was believed that the 25 year-old star was battling alcohol problems, then the news emerged that the hard-partying actor was dealing with a much more sinister drug.

Not long after the High School Musical star had left the facility, a source reassured, "He's doing great. He's taking care of himself and it shows." Luckily, Efron's addiction was nipped in the bud before he could go totally off the rails, setting a good example for any of his fans dealing with similar issues.
Lindsay Lohan
For a time, actress Lindsay Lohan pretty much had a revolving door into rehab with her name on it. The embattled Mean Girls star has gone all out since her adorable child actress days by doing coke, struggling with alcohol problems, countless stints in rehab, violating probation and spending at least 90 days in jail.
Lindsay Lohan Is Out Of Rehab & Clean...For Now.
Though once it looked as though there was no light at the tunnel for the child star of The Parent Trap, Lindsay seems to currently have a handle on her issues, committing to sobriety, avoiding temptation and turning her attention to making her reality show on Oprah Winfrey's network, Lindsay, as successful as possible. Fingers crossed, LiLo!

Nicole Richie
Actress Nicole Richie is known to have struggled with numerous substance addictions, including heroin, cocaine and marijuana. 2006 saw the 32 year-old swamped with speculation over her plummeting weight, which she claimed was the result of an inability to gain weight. The same year, Richie was arrested for travelling in the wrong direction on a freeway after using marijuana and Vicodin.

Though Richie was sentenced to four days in jail, she served just 82 minutes of that sentence before she was released due to jail overcrowding. Nicole enrolled on an 18 month anti-drink driving programme and completed all terms of her probation. Now the mum-of-two is married to Good Charlotte lead singer Joel Madden and has created a charity to help children in need.
Macaulay Culkin
Here's a blast from the past: remember Home Alone child star Macaulay Culkin? In 2004, the actor went through a rough patch in his life and was arrested for the possession of marijuana and Xanax, for which he was briefly jailed. He went to court for misdemeanour drug offences which eventually led to three one- year suspended prison terms and a small fine to pay.
