Luke Grimes Exits True Blood
Actor Luke Grimes is leaving True Blood after one season.
The Taken 2 star, who joined the show in the sixth season, has unexpectedly decided to exit the drama, and his role as vampire James will be recast for the seventh season.
A representative for U.S. network HBO tells TVLine.com, "The role of James is being recast due to the creative direction of the character."
A source adds, "He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with (his Forever co-star) Deborah Ann Woll. But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James."
Grimes will next appear as Christian Grey's brother in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
