It is that time of year again, New York is readying its streets for the 87th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The kick off to the 2013 holiday season will commence on Thursday morning (Nov 28th), and as usual giant balloons as well as a whole heap of musical stars will feature in the thanksgiving celebration.

This year's very impressive list of performers includes, Austin Mahone, Ariana Grande, Cher Lloyd and Fifth Harmony plus many more, according to Macy's official website.

Austin Mahone recently caught up with MTV News and discussed the upcoming parade performance, he knows it is going to be "really, really cold" on the early morning start but that won't stop the 17 year-old from loving the experience.

"I like to wake up on every Thanksgiving morning and watch the parade, and it's cool being not only being here to watch it but to be performing," he said.

Mahone also expressed his excitement for his live performance on the Build-A-Bear float, via Facebook, "I'M PERFORMING AT THE Macy's THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE!!! #MACYSPARADE Who's going to watch???!?," he posted.

Meanwhile, other pop-star newcomers, Fifth Harmony, who appeared on US X-Factor, also spoke with MTV. "It's just a tradition, and it's super iconic and it's a part of history. We were like, 'Oh my god,' band member Ally Brooke told MTV News of been chosen to perform at the parade. "But at the end of the day, it's an honor."

The 5 piece girl group also took to twitter to remind everyone of their appearance, "OMG the @Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade is THIS Thursday!!! Thanksgiving in NYC is going to be so perfect make sure you guys tune in," they wrote.
