Katy Perry Announces Plans For 2014 'Prism' UK Tour

Katy Perry will bring her Prism tour to the UK next year, announcing the dates for her upcoming shows through her official Twitter page yesterday (18 Nov.). The UK dates are the first to be unveiled by Perry as part of her Prismatic World Tour, with the full dates for her globe-covering tour expected to be announced by Perry in the coming weeks.

The tour is designed to be a "multi-faceted spectacular" and will include a special standing pit around the stage called "The Reflection Section" that will allow Katy to be "closer than ever to her fans," according to the official Katy Perry website. The singer will take Swedish pop duo Icona Pop on the UK leg of her tour, and the duo may follow her to the various destinations she will head to on her travels. Her website goes on to say that the world tour will potentially be a year-long extravaganza.

The singer will begin her tour of the UK in Belfast, arriving on 7 May, before heading to Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield, before finishing up with a three night residency at London's O2 Arena. The full list of tour dates is available below.
