Jennifer Lawrence Stuns On 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Red Carpet [Pictures]

The Odeon Cinema in London's Leicester Square was host to the world premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Monday night (Nov 11), and the stars and guests were on hand to make a big impression as they graced the red carpet. Dressed to the nines, the place awash with beautiful people as they paraded their wares, and no one parades better than Jennifer Lawrence.

J-Law wowed the crowd with her backless number

Dressed in a backless white Dior gown, Lawrence looked impeccable as she oozed style whilst greeting fans and signing autographs down the red carpet. The actress thanked fans for showing up in their droves despite the torrid weather conditions, reportedly saying (via Variety) at one point: “I’ve been out here five minutes and I’m complaining!”

J-Law showed up to the event in a cherry red coat she draped over her shoulders, but in a sign of unity with her adoring fans (and an excuse to show off her amazing gown), she stripped down and exposed her skin to the elements. Should she venture out in similar attire for the American premiere -happening in Los Angeles on 18 November - she will no doubt be hoping that the weather is a little more forgiving.

Her co-stars also managed to scrum up pretty nicely too, and Catching Fire newcomer Sam Claflin was looking smart in his suit and scarf combo. Pictured primarily with his wife, British actress Laura Haddock, the pair were playful with each other on the red carpet and both regularly stopped to chat with fans and sign autographs.

Sam also managed to get the audience cheering by delivering the well-known Finnick Odair quote, “Do you want a sugar cube!?”

Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson both kept it smart and simple, opting for a simple suit and tie get up. Hutcherson is hopeful that fans will enjoy the film as much as they did the last, telling press “Thankfully the first movie was well-received and people were happy with it, and now they’re ready for the next one, people are ravenous for it. It’s a different energy this time.”

Hutcherson and Hemsworth weren't the last of the Catching Fire cast in attendance though, as Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Jeffrey Wright and Jena Malone all showed up, as did producers Jon Kilik and Nina Jacobson and director Francis Lawrence. See the full gallery here.

Hemsworth kept it smart and simple

It wasn't just the Catching Fire cast that were keeping the attention on themselves, as a number of guests also had heads turning, none more so than Ellie Goulding. The singer showed off ample side-boob in her tight black dress and whilst it wasn't quite as revealing as what she had on in Amsterdam for the MTV EMAs on Sunday (10 Nov.), she still showed off plenty of skin.
