Fox has ordered a new animated series from Seth Macfarlane. The Family Guy creator will be working alongside Mark Hentemann on a new comedy series, Bordertown. The show will concern a fictitious town near- you guessed it -the US-Mexican border.

Image caption Seth MacFarlane is also responsible for creating Ted, the talking stoner teddy bear.

The show has been in development for several years and will add to MacFarlane's packed schedule of producing and voice-over. The 40-year-old already provides the voices for a number of animated characters including Peter Griffin, the focus of Family Guy, and Stan Smith, the CIA agent and patriarch of American Dad.

Hentemann was originally a story editor on Family Guy before becoming a member of the cast, voicing Peter Griffin's co-worker Opie. He currently holds an executive producer role on the show.

Others joining MacFarlane and Hentemann from Family Guy and American Dad include producers Alex Carter (Family Guy) and Dan Vebber (American Dad).

Seth Macfarlane will be working with Mark Hentemann, his fellow producer on Family Guy.
