Alex Turner's Laryngitis Prompts Arctic Moneys To Scrap Shows

British rockers the Arctic Monkeys have been forced to scrap two shows on their current U.K. tour to allow frontman Alex Turner time to recover from laryngitis.
The band postponed a Halloween night gig in Birmingham, England following the singer's diagnosis, and the concert was just hours after he performed at the Mercury Prize awards ceremony in London.
A second show in Glasgow, Scotland scheduled for Friday (01Nov13) has also been axed.
A statement from the band reads: "We wish to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused."
The two scrapped gigs will now take place on 20 and 21 November (13).
