Dean McDermott Denies Rumors About Financial Trouble With Tori Spelling

Dean McDermott was quick to dispel rumours about the reported money troubles he and wife Tori Spelling were experiencing. Despite a recent story about the family going broke, which rather embarrassingly also claimed that the family could not afford a vasectomy for McDermott. Now the father-of-four has come forward to quell the gossip, saying for Us Weekly that his and Spelling’s many projects were going well enough for them to avoid financial trouble.

"Right now things are going well," McDermott, 46, tells Us. "I have several exciting projects in the works. Our show Dean and Tori's Backyard Bash just re-aired to great ratings, I'll be the new host of Chopped Canada and I have my first cookbook coming out -- The Gourmet Dad, in the spring," he points out. "Tori's book (Spelling It Like It Is) just launched this week and things are good." Books with punny titles aside, show business isn’t what it used to be. Even with a reality show on air, it’s possible for the family to be struggling, especially if the endorsement deals aren’t quite rolling in. This is all just speculation, of course, and McDermott remains unflinchingly optimistic.

"Sometimes things are awesome, sometimes they're just not. But it's about how we tackle things as a couple, as a family. And we do a pretty good job of that. Right now we have so many cool things going on -- we're in an uptick."
