Emotional Goodbyes As DWTS Loses Another Favourite

Dancing With the Stars has lost another fan favourite this week. After the elimination of Bill Nye last week, the fans have been suffering when they lost the brave Valerie Harper and her partner Tristian MacManus. The actress, who is battling cancer, said the show was "absolutely wonderful, completely unique, like nothing else in the world that you would ever do."

MacManus felt the same way about his experience on the show, especially having had the privilege of working with Valerie. Speaking to the hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, after the bad news was broken, MacManus said, "sometimes you get very lucky to do well out of your partner and sometimes you get very lucky in your life to meet someone who can affect them more than this could at all. So I feel I've been very lucky to get that, and I feel like maybe [my] life's a little bit better since I met Valerie Harper."

Harper must have been more disappointed than she was letting on as footage taken through her rehearsals recorded her promise to "do better" than last week. She continued by stating, "I am not at all ready to quit," however she was noticably the weakest dancer this week and as the competition is growing fiercer, it was only a matter of time for the actress.
