Lance Bass Tears Up Fans' Hearts, Refuses To Confirm Or Deny 'N Sync Reunion At VMA

'N Sync reuniting at the MTV Video Music Awards. Well, 'N Sync might be reuniting at the MTV Video Music Awards. After the band reunited offstage in Miami to attend Justin Timberlake’s gig at the Sunlife Stadium, the internet went mad with rumours. As it usually happens, the good folk of Tumblr were at the front of the nostalgia-fuelled furor. Of course, Twitter wasn’t far behind either. However, rabid 'N Sync fans (hey, there’s no shame in it!) might want to cool their jets at this juncture.

Lance Bass addressed the rumors that he, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick would all be performing on the same stage at the Barclays Center this Sunday. On his radio show, the aptly titled Dirty Pop With Lance Bass, he said: "... of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing."

He continued with a sort-of explanation of how the rumor got started: "We all came down here [to Miami] except for J.C. [Chasez]. J.C. stayed in California, he had to work...Joey [Fatone], Chris [Kirkpatrick] and myself went to go see Justin's last show with Jay Z at the [Sun Life] Stadium last Friday, and I even took a picture of it, it's on my Instagram."

He expressed his gratitude to the hordes of loyal fans, who, judging from the reaction, might just boycott the Barclays Center if the reunion does not happen. We wouldn’t put it past them. However (and this is the important bit) Bass did not deny outright that the reunion might happen. If it does happen (dare to dream) would a return of the frosted tips be too much to ask for?
