From Gold Thread To Pretty Maternity Wear, Lingerie Fashion Week Returns In Its Second Year! [Photos]
New York's Lingerie Fashion Week returns for its second year, debuting some of the hottest up and coming undergarments and nightwear for Spring/Summer 2014 season. LFW kicked off in Manhattan on August 1st 2013 at the Metropolitan Pavilion and featured a variety of presentations and stunning runway shows over the weekend.
Among some of the top brands that were showcased at the event were Affinitas & Parfait on Saturday 3rd, who claim to bring sensational lingerie to women 'seeking sophisticated and quality lingerie at affordable prices'. YOU! Lingerie also showed off their new Nursing and Maternity collection with a selection of brave, 'expecting' models who weren't ashamed to flash their perinatal physiques in front of the scrutinising fashion moguls attending the catwalk show.
Friday saw Rococo Dessous premiere their 24 Karat Gold lingerie as they become the first designers to use real gold thread in their underwear collections, making the lucky models who got to wear them for free look like stunning Arabian princesses; head designer Breanna Lee looked thrilled to be in attendance as they sparkled down the runway. The day also saw the 'Made In NY' show featuring selections from Nais and Nevaeh. The Lingerie Fashion Week started in 2012 and presents a wide variety of intimate apparel including nightwear, accessories, hosiery as well as the feminine favourites in shapewear.
