If Lindsay Lohan Recovers And Oprah Doesn't Make A Documentary About It, Did It Really Happen?

  • 13 July 2013

Following her latest stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan truly seems to be on a quest to rebuild her life and career, but what would be the point, if the story wasn’t televised? Presumably to make the whole “fresh start” thing easier and, of course, more profitable, Ms Lohan will sit down with Oprah Winfrey to tell the story of her rehab stint and recovery. But that’s not all Lindsay is getting out of the deal.

The star of the upcoming The Canyons will also get her very own documentary series on Oprah’s OWN network. The starlet has been signed on for eight hour-long episodes, detailing her journey to rebuild her life and career after nearly a decade of bad choices and hard partying. The interview will tape and air this August, but we will have to wait until 2014 for the detailed account of the docu-series.

“OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014,” an OWN spokesperson confirmed for Entertainment Weekly. The move seems to be a big turning point in Lindsay’s career, who has previously turned down multiple offers to star in non-scripted programming in favor of scripted feature films. So everything seems on the up and up with Lindsay Lohan. Let’s hope it stays that way.
