Helen Reddy Recovering From Back Injury

Singer Helen Reddy has been confined to a wheelchair as she recovers from a back injury.

The I _A_m Woman hitmaker sparked concerns for her health after she was spotted in a wheelchair at the Los _A_ngeles International _A_irport on 29 March (13).

Now a representative for the 71 year old has spoken out to reveal the singer sustained a minor injury in New York City while performing back-to-back shows at the B.B. King Blues Club on the 23 and 24 March (13).

A spokesperson tells U.S. tabloid the Globe, "She pulled something in her back. But she's fine now."

Reddy has battled a number of health issues in recent years - she underwent cataract surgery in 2012 and also suffers from _A_ddison's disease, which causes muscle weakness and fatigue.
