Excitement Mounts For Brad Pitt Action-Zombie Movie: New Trailer Released For World War Z (Trailer And Pictures)
A new trailer has been released for Brad Pitt’s forthcoming zombie action movie World War Z. This latest dose of what to expect from the new movie, based on the World War Z book by Max Brooks has even more action sequences included, to whet the taste buds of thrill-hungry zombie fans. Brad plays the role of Gerry Lane, a man forced to leave his wife and children behind, in a bid to uncover the cause of a zombie pandemic and to stop the zombies in the tracks. Frankly, when you see the sheer number of rather agile-looking zombies that director Marc Forster (Quantum Of Solace) has crammed into this movie, you’ll realise that’s a tougher feat than it may first sound.
This new insight into the blockbuster includes some scenes that we’ve seen before; hoards of flailing zombies trying to traverse a wall, hoards of flailing zombies falling down a flight of stairs… etc etc… but this time there’s a focus of the human element, on Brad Pitt’s connection with his wife (Mireille Enos) and daughters and his bid to keep them alive, as well as himself. There’s a real sense of hope – and time – running out, particularly when we see Brad’s eyes opening, as he awakes from a doze on a plane, only to walk through to the neighbouring section and reveal the carnage that lies within. Gruesome stuff.
World War Z hits cinemas in June 2013 and if the trailer’s anything to go by, we may well have a new twist on the zombie genre that’s worth schlepping to the movie theatre for.
