Bobby Brown Released From Jail After Nine Hours

R&B star _B_O_B__B_Y _B_ROWN has walked free from jail after serving just nine hours behind bars.

The New Edition singer surrendered to Los Angeles officials on Wednesday (20Mar13) and began a 55-day sentence for drink driving charges.

However, _B_rown was released less than 10 hours after checking into L.A. County Jail.

According to Tmz.com, the singer was allowed to leave due to overcrowding in the prison.

_B_rown was handed the punishment in February (13) after pleading no contest to charges of driving under the influence (Dui) and driving on a suspended licence relating to an arrest in October (12).

The star is now on four years' probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education course.
