News Just In: Harrison Ford Will Join Cast Of Anchorman Sequel
The cast list for Anchorman: The Legend Continues just keeps getting better and better. The latest news, reported by Comingsoon.net reveals that Harrison Ford will join the movie, playing an “esteemed new anchor,” thought to be a similar role to the one he played in 2010’s Morning Glory.
Ford will join returning cast members Christina Applegate, Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd for the eagerly anticipated Ron Burgundy sequel. The movie is soon to start shooting, in Atlanta, Georgia and is expected to land in movie theatres in December. Also joining the cast as newcomers, for the sequel, are Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Meagan Good and Dylan Baker. A teaser trailer for the comedy sequel has already been released online, with Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy asking “Hey America, did you miss my hot breath in your ear?”
Anyone who’d written Harrison Ford off as a has-been will be well and truly eating their words this year as the veteran actor has not only been cast in the Anchorman sequel but is also expected to return to his iconic role as Han Solo in JJ Abrams’ new Star Wars movie, Star Wars, Episode VII. He will also be appearing in the Jackie Robinson biopic, 42 and the Robert Luketic thriller Paranoia.
