Dragon Tattoo Director Set For Flatliners Remake

Swedish filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev has signed on to revamp Joel Schumacher's 1990 supernatural thriller Flatliners.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo director will be working from a script written by Source Code and Species screenwriter Ben Ripley, according to BloodyDisgusting.com.

Schumacher's original film featured then-couple Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts as medical students dabbling with the afterlife through a series of near-death experiences.
