Smokey Robinson Fashion Line Launch Postponed

Smokey Robinson's Oscars-eve fashion show has been postponed over fears it would be overshadowed by the _A_cademy _A_wards.

The soul man, who celebrated his 73rd birthday on Tuesday (19Feb13), was hoping to launch the Smokey Robinson Fashion Collection in Hollywood on Saturday (23Feb13), but he will now have to wait to unveil his clothing line.

Partner and designer James _A_ndrew says, "The anticipated Smokey Robinson Collection fashion show has been tentatively moved to a later date. The upcoming launch details will be announced soon."

A source tells Wenn, "The organisers feared all eyes would be on the _A_cademy _A_wards and there would be too much going on in Hollywood."

_A_ndrew and Robinson's venture will include luxury suits and casual sportswear for men and women.
