Kat Von D And Deadmau5 Announce Split On Twitter. Where Did It All Go Wrong?

Kat Von D announced her split from the Canadian electro-house producer Deadmau5, via Twitter. They’ve only been dating since September 2012 but the 30 year-old tattoo artist, made famous by the reality show LA Ink posted a series of messages on her Twitter profile on Saturday, revealing that their relationship is over.

It’s unclear exactly what’s happened but it is clear that Kat may have been warned that Deadmau5 wasn’t the right guy for her. Her first tweet read “Man.. Can’t say I didn’t give it my best.” She followed up with “Now, we can get all of the “I told you so's" outta the way... And move on.” And for any of her followers who were still struggling to read between the lines, she made everything clear by saying “Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.”

Deadmau5 gave his own, equally cryptic take on things, on his own Twitter page, saying “Going home.” and then “going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. i guess I'm not cut out for relationships right now. and that's all i really wan't to dwell on it right now. ill figure it out. no hard feelings.” Then, even more cryptically and even more emotionally, the oversized mouse-headed one said “it happened too fast, i lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. she deserves someone stronger… ... and thats it for the personal stuff... on with our regularly scheduled deadmau5 crap.” So… what EXACTLY went on between them? Given their propensity for indulging their emotions on Twitter, we wonder if either of them will spill the beans?
