Lostprophets took their Weapons tour to the Manchester O2 Apollo on Thursday evening (November 8, 2012), playing to a huge audience that was clearly pleased to see the Welsh rockers back on the live circuit. The boys still have Portsmouth, London, Norwich, Lincoln and a homecoming show of sorts in Newport to come, but it will be Manchester that goes down as one of the more rip-roaring gigs of the tour.

After the concert, one Twitter user said, "Lostprophets were so mind-blowingly awesome in Manchester that I lost my voice," while another unlucky fan said, "People please stop tweeting about Manchester and just lostprophets in general I will honestly start crying if you're not careful." She probably wasn't too happy after seeing that one fan had tweeted, "Caught Luke's drumstick at @Lostprophets in Manchester last night. A perfect end to a perfect night yesss."
The group released their fifth studio album Weapons in April 2012, which went straight in at No.1 on the UK Rock Chart. It also debuted at a very respectable No.9 on the overall UK Album Chart. Though Thursday evening's set-list featured a selection of greatest hits, as well as songs from the new album, Lostprophets are giving their fans control over what they play on their separate Warped UK Tour for the Vans sneaker brand. There are five songs to choose from via text-vote, including Lucky You and Broken Hearts. Check out the band's office website www.lostprophets.com for more details.
