Modern Family Star Ariel Winter Removed From Her House After Abuse

Ariel Winter - The Modern Family Actor who plays Alex Dunphy in the show - has been removed from her house after serious allegations of physical and emotional abuse by her mother, TMZ has learned.

Court sources explained that a judge, after a guardianship hearing on October 3rd, deemed the allegations that Ariel was being physically and emotionally abused by her mother Crystal Workman serious enough for her to be removed from the premises. She in a temporary guardianship with her older sister Shanelle Workman, and reportedly, her mother was ordered to stay 100 yards away from Ariel. TMZ have also discovered that a similar case of abuse occurred with Shanelle, just under two decades ago. The Department of Children and Family Services removed her from Crystal's home based on similar abuse allegations and the D.C.F.S. placed her in foster care for more than 2 years. She never went back to her mother as a result. According to court records, the judge has set another hearing for November 20.
