Miley Cyrus Protection To Be Stepped Up After Scissor-wielding Intruder

  • 06 November 2012

Miley Cyrus's protection could be intensified following the scary incident that saw Jason Luis Rivera enter her property in September wielding a pair of scissors. Miley filed a restraining order against Mr Rivera on October 30, 2012, just in case he thought about returning once he's out of prison.

The temporary order forced Rivera to stay within 1,000 yards of the singer and actress at all times, though she's now seeking to make the order permanent. That would mean that once Rivera leaves prison - in a year's time - he would be arrested if caught within a mile of the former Hannah Montana star. A hearing has been scheduled for later this month to decide whether to make the temporary order permanent.

As was initially reported, Rivera jumped the fence surrounding Miley's Los Angeles home and said he wanted to meet the star. Cops responded to a 911 call - thought to have been placed by Miley's security people - and Rivera was apprehended, arrested, and thrown behind bars. To make it worse for Rivera, Miley wasn't even at home when he decided to turn up.
