Mrs Brown's Boy: Chris Brown's Mother Defends 'Taliban' Halloween Outfit
Chris Brown's Halloween costume controversy shows no signs of abating, though his mother, Joyce Hawkins, has taken to Twitter in attempt to defuse the situation. Breezy turned heads this week after attending a party while dressed as what appeared to be a member of the Taliban. The Grammy winner donned a long beard, turban, flowing robe and held an assault rifle aloft.
Ain't nobody F---ing wit my clique!!! #ohb," Brown wrote on Instagram before arriving at Rihanna's West Hollywood Halloween party. Though plenty of Brown's fans applauded his choice of outfit, he nevertheless came in for enough criticism for his mother to defend his actions. "Halloween is for fun, nothing more than just fun. Get a life please," she wrote on Twitter, adding, "So does this mean when we dress our kids as Satan we glorifying him or (is) it just out of fun???? ... Keep smiling angel." There seemed to be some confusion as to exactly who Brown as dressed as, with BET saying the singer and his crew were, "dressed up as Osama Bin Laden and his terrorists," while the Los Angeles CBS affiliate suggested he was merely dressed as "a member of the Taliban."
Meanwhile, Rihanna's Halloween costume was far more understated, with the superstar singer wearing a sparkly green dress and matching veil. Presumably she was some weird, green, bride?
