Pictures: Hollywood Stars Turn Out For The LACMA Gala

One of the big events of the weekend was the LACMA Film + Art Gala which saw some of the great and good of Hollywood in attendance to raise a glass in honour of the director Stanley Kubrick and artist Ed Ruscha. Cameron Diaz, Evan Rachel Wood, Robert Pattinson, Will Ferrell and Salma Hayek were just some of the names there for the event which cost between $5000 and $10000 a ticket.

With tickets at such a price, and given the distinguished nature of the guests, it was no surprise that the LACMA museum took a total of $3.5 million, according to The Los Angeles Times. The night really became about Kubrick, with Steven Spielberg describing the director as "all four of The Beatles" to him, with other tributes coming from Drew Barrymore and Tom Hanks.

Among the stars impressing on the red carpet included Cameron Diaz, looking classy in a yellow outfit, whilst Salma Hayek looked her usual glamorous self as she partnered Francois-Henri Pinault to the event. Amber Valletta, however, might want to spend a little more time on her hair in future, her blonde dye failing to hide her darker roots.
Though heavily dominated by actors and directors, the guest list at LACMA did include around a dozen artists including Ruscha himself, Catherine Opie, Barbara Kruger, Diana Thater, Doug Aitken and Retna.
