What Did The Rolling Stones Play In Paris Last Night? (Video)

Last night saw the Rolling Stones play their first show in five years, in a 600-capacity club in Paris. 350 tickets were made available for the show which were snapped up before you could say “we’d rather pay $20 for these than whatever your charging for your arena shows.” Presumably the remaining 250 people in attendance were friends, family and industry insiders.

The set, at Paris’ la Trabendo club, lasted for 70 minutes, during which they played 12 songs, which spanned the length of their 50 year career. The show was one of a series of warm-ups for some much larger gigs that the band will play to celebrate their 50th anniversary. On November 25 and 29, 2012, they will play at London’s O2 Arena and on December 13 and 15, 2012, they’ll tread the boards at the Prudential Center in Newark. Tickets for the O2 gigs sold out in just 7 minutes. Tickets for Newark go on sale at midday, local time today (October 26, 2012). They’ll be releasing a Greatest Hits album entitled GRRR! on November 13. To give fans a taste of the new material on the album, they played ‘Doom and Gloom’ last night.
