Lindsay Lohan Hospitalized With Lung Infection

  • 25 September 2012

Lindsay Lohan was rushed to a Manhattan emergency room for treatment of a lung infection, reports The New York Daily News. The Mean Girls star visited Mt. Sinai hospital and left with some antibiotics, her dad confirmed.

"She's fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously," Michael Lohan explained. "When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma." Lohan had to go to hospital in early June after smashing her Porsche into an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, California. And just a week later, paramedics were summoned to the Ritz Carlton, where she was filming, but she just turned out to be sleeping. Usually hitting headlines for her various misdemeanors and disagreements, Lohan's most recent entry into the news doesn't actually appear to be her fault.

Her latest escapade sees the actress turn singer sue the New York chef involved in her hit and run incident. More specifically, she hit him, and ran. But apparently things aren't that straightforward. "She's absolutely suing," Michael Lohan told The News Monday. "You have to put your foot down to people doing this to you. I mean, come on. This guy has a brace on but went running down the ramp after her?" Mr Lohan is becoming the most reliable source for official Lohan family news, although "put your foot down" might not be the most tactile of phrases to use.
