Paul Gray Songs To Feature On New Slipknot Album
Rockers Slipknot are to include songs written by late bandmate Paul Gray on their new album.
The bassist was found dead in his Iowa motel room in May 2010 after suffering an accidental drug overdose, and his fellow musicians subsequently doubted whether they would be able to continue without him.
However, the group returned to the road last year (11) and recently announced plans to release a follow-up to 2008's All Hope Is Gone.
Drummer Shawn Crahan has now revealed they will be recording songs written by Gray to keep their late friend's memory alive.
He tells Artisan News, "There are songs that he's written that will be a part of the next record. We're all going to have to think like him, and he'll be there. He'll be there; there's no way Paul Gray (will not be) a part of anything that we do for the rest of our career."
The band plans to hit the recording studio next year (13) to work on the new tracks.
