A Week In News Featuring: Cuba Gooding Jr, Lil Wayne, Kristen Cavallari, Robert Pattinson, Lady Gaga And More!

Say It Ain't So: Fans of the Hollywood nice-guy Cuba Gooding Jr were more than a little confused last week when he was accused of assaulting a female bartender. However, we're pleased to hear the whole thing appears to be a misunderstanding and that no criminal charges will be filed.

Switching Gears: It looks as though Lil Wayne is taking a backseat from music, to concentrate on his skateboarding! After ten hit records, we think Weezy's entitled to a little time at the skate-park, just so long as he doesn't stay away for too long!

Camden Crawl: Congratulations to 'The Hills' star Kristen Cavallari and her fiance Jay Cutler this week, after the pair welcomed their first child, Camden Jack Cutler. The tot weighed in a healthy 7lbs 9oz, perhaps he'll become a quarterback like this father?

R-Patz Makes Comeback: All this cheating talk means Twilight fans are missing out on seeing Robert Pattinson in public, but they don't have to wait much longer, with news that the British star will appear on 'Good Morning America' and 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' next week.

Marvel-ous return for Joss: Disney announced this week that Joss Whedon will be back behind the camera for the Marvel movie sequel 'The Avengers 2'. With all the stars likely to return too, studio bosses don't exactly need to worry about where the money will come from in 2015.

Artpopper: Aside from the naked pool picture, Lady Gaga gave her fans a reason to smile this week, revealing the title of her forthcoming album some two months early. The pop superstar revealed that her next record would be titled 'ARTPOP' by getting the word inked onto her arm, as you do.

Too Sexy? We were shocked this week to hear the CEO of 'Nivea' cosmetics had hinted that Rihanna lifestyle didn't fit in with the brand's image. Nevertheless, we're sure the Barbadian beauty isn't ready to tone down her partying just yet!

No Oscars for Jimmy: No sooner were we getting excited about the prospect of having Jimmy Fallon host the Oscars in 2013, than the comedian announced talks had broken down. It now looks as though his namesake Jimmy Kimmel is the frontrunner for the prestigious job.

No Fifty Shades For Bret: We were equally dismayed this week to hear that American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis hadn't been shortlist as a potential screenwriter for the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie, despite drumming up considerable support on his Twitter page. Boo!

Video of the Week: This week's hottest footage comes straight from Los Angeles, where Lindsay Lohan is seen loading her newly bought makeup into the back of her rather swish looking Porsche. Lohan might find herself in another type of video pretty soon, after reports suggested Lady Gaga has signed up the actress to appear in a promo for one of her forthcoming singles.
