Cleo Sol Inspired At Night
Cleo Sol wakes up in the middle of the night inspired to write new songs.
The 'Never the Right Time (Who Do You Love)' singer is a light sleeper, but doesn't mind being woken as she finds the late night a particularly inspiring time.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''I always get inspired when I wake up, and get woken like seven times in the night - any sort of light or police cars can wake me and that's a creative time for me. I just end up writing stuff.
''I've got beats that my producer sent to me so I can just make music in the middle of the night, it's so weird.''
Unlike many artists, Cleo doesn't tape record early versions of her tracks, preferring to memorise them as it helps her pick the strongest melodies for her songs.
She added: ''I like to do it from memory and force myself to do it. I'm really bad with lyrics so I like to write them down but I like to test myself and do the melody from memory.''
'Never the Right Time (Who Do You Love)' is out now.
