A Week In News - Feat. Megan Fox, Beyonce, Lindsay Lohan, Ryan Seacrest & More
It looks like the Fox is expecting a cub...Hollywood actress Megan Fox is going to be the latest celebrity to make the miracle of life look good, after news broke last week that she and husband Brian Austin Green are expecting their first child together. There's always heightened excitement and expectation among fans when a celebrity falls pregnant, though we can already feel the pressure on Fox to maintain her superstar looks, given that she is consistently named as one of the most beautiful people in the world.
Beyonce proves big can still be beautiful...If there's one celebrity who could teach Megan Fox a thing or two about embracing the pregnant body, its Beyonce, who was positively glowing while expecting baby Blue-Ivy last year and who appeared to lose the baby-weight in no time. We here at Contactmusic.com were therefore not the least bit surprised when the R&B star featured on People magazine's Most Beautiful list for 2012 at No.1. after fending off stiff competition from fellow beauties Sofia Vergara, Charlize Theron and Lily Collins.
Remember the Tupac Shakur hologram from Coachella?...How could we forget. Well, seemingly as quick as we reported news of a possible tour, Dr Dre had already poured cold water on the whole idea and insisted the hologram was created strictly for the Californian tour. Though it's a shame that Tupac isn't coming to a city near you, we remain hopeful that it's not the last we'll see of the late rapper. In a short YouTube video, Dre was asked about the possibility of the star making further appearances, to which he replied "We'll see". Watch this holographic space.
Can Lindsay win back the hearts of Hollywood?...They say God loves a trier, well so do we here at Contactmusic. So it was pleasing to receive the news this week that Lindsay Lohan has finally signed on the dotted line to play Elizabeth Taylor in the forthcoming Lifetime biopic 'Liz and Dick'. With her personal troubles now behind her, Lohan has finally been cleared for a permit to work in Canada and will begin shooting the movie in the near future. Whatever the eventual reaction to the film, Lohan can't be accused of avoiding major roles and we're betting Hollywood's so-called wild-child tackling the tumultuous life of one of cinema's biggest stars will be a match made in heaven.
Our Video of the Week is a short but sweet clip...Married for eleven years, actors Michael Douglas, 67, and Catherine Zeta Jones, 42, leave their New York City apartment and climb into their vehicle outside. In response to his throat cancer recovery, Michael was swamped by photographers congratulating him. The award-winning producer of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Wall Street actor looked very well.
And finally congratulations this week to Ryan Seacrest...or is that congratulations to the Fox network? - after it was revealed that America's most sought after broadcaster has signed on to remain the host of American Idol for a further two years at least.Maybe it was the challenge of defeating rivals The X Factor and The Voice that led Seacrest to ignore pesky Simon Cowell's advances and sign on the dotted line with Idol. Or perhaps it was the reported $30 million salary. We'll let you make your minds up on that one.
