A Week In News - Feat. Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie, Coachella, Tupac Shakur And More - 20th April 2012

Wedding Bells Finally!...Just as the entertainment world was winding down following another hectic week, two of the biggest stars in Hollywood sprung some pretty important news on their fans last Friday (April 20, 2012). It's always been assumed that Brangelina, aka BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE were happy to raise their ever-expanding family without the need to tie the knot - but those assumptions were smashed to pieces when Brad's manager confirmed the pair are set to marry! It appears the pair are once again putting their children first, describing the impending union as "A promise for the future and their kids are very happy". The wedding is reported to be taking place in France this summer, with celebrity guests likely to include GEORGE CLOONEY and JOHNNY DEPP.

Rihanna finds her 'Party Spot' at Coachella...It was certainly a surprising slice of celebrity news heading into a weekend that turned out to provide some even more eyebrow-raising scenes - most of them taking place at the Coachella Music Festival in California. Firstly, it's hats off to KATY PERRY and her pal RIHANNA for breaking down both the physical and metaphorical boundaries between themselves and their thousands of adorning fans.

The pop superstars - two of the most recognizable singers on the planet - thought nothing of getting amongst the crowd at the festival, with Perry even taking part in some good old fashion crowd surfing. Festival revellers may from time-to-time catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrity coyly catching a band, but Rihanna did little to blend in with the crowds and climbed onto her bodyguard's shoulders, tweeting an image of the view with the caption, ""Here's my party spot!!!".

Will Holograms Bring Stars Back From Beyond?...If Coachella's partygoers thought they had seen it all with RiRi and Katy, they were rubbing their eyes in disbelief during DR DRE and SNOOP DOGG's headline set on the main stage on Sunday. The pair introduced the late rapper TUPAC SHAKUR, who duly appeared in the form of a hologram and crashed into a rendition of 'Gangsta Party'.

The man behind the hologram, Digital Domain's El Ulbrich's explained, "Dre has a massive vision for this.This is an illusion and it is just the beginning". It could be a dramatic turning point for the live music scene, as we know it.

The Silver Screen This Week...saw blockbuster sensation 'The Hunger Games' continue to clean up at the box-office, though it was the turn of another big-budget movie to stage a lavish premiere. Our video of the week is a clip from the Australian premiere of upcoming film 'Battleship', which features supermodel BROOKLYN DECKER, RIHANNA and LIAM NEESON. Decker talked up Rihanna's first movie role, saying, "She's a natural performer, the girl has been performing for people for years, so for her it's a really natural progression". The movie hits cinemas in the U.S. on May 18, 2012.

And finally...It's congratulations to True Blood stars ANNA PAQUIN and STEPHEN MOYER, who have announced they are expecting their first child together. No news as yet on possible names, but the baby is due in the fall.
