Jean-claude Van Damme Signs For Six Bullets
Jean-Claude Van Damme is set to star in 'Six Bullets'.
The action hero - who rebooted his image in 2008 after starring in the self-spoofing movie 'JCVD' - will team up with director Ernie Barbarash for the film, which tells the tale of a former mercenary kidnapping expert who is hired by a top martial arts champ to find his missing daughter.
The movie will be produced by Brad Krevoy - who worked with Van Damme and Barbarash on the upcoming 'Assassination Games' and the Motion Picture Corporation of America, which Krevoy helped co-found.
The film marks MPCA's first foray into international deal-making.
Krevoy told Variety: "For us, this is a changing of our business model that opens us up to the international market. Right now, there's an opportunity in the marketplace to produce a series of high-quality action films."
It will start shooting in Western Europe and North America in August.
Van Damme will be hoping for more success with this movie than his last - 'The Eagle Path', which was filmed three years ago but will only be released on DVD this October.
