Gemma Arterton Used Blockbusters For Future

Gemma Arteton agreed to star in blockbusters to gain control of her career.

The 25-year-old actress was able to raise her profile by appearing in movies like 'Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time' and 'Clash of the Titans' and now she can pick different types of roles.

She told InStyle magazine: "I've had to do big commercial movies to get to the point where I now have control. The films I'm doing next year are totally what I want to do, but I wouldn't be able to do them if I hadn't done the other things. You have to Take That with a pinch of salt."

Gemma is currently shooting 3-D action horror movie 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' - in which she stars with Jeremy Renner and Famke Janssen - and she is very excited about the project.

She said: "It's gonna be cool sort of Quentin Tarantino meets Guillermo Del Toro; it has a 'Pan's Labrynth' kind of feel."
