Arctic Monkeys Lead Q Awards Nominations

Arctic Monkeys lead nominations for this year's Q Awards.
The 'Crying Lightning' hitmakers will compete for four trophies at this year's ceremony, including Best Track for 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair', Best Album for 'Suck It and See', Greatest Act in the World Today - which sees them up against Coldplay, Kasabian, U2, Muse and Arcade Fire - and Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years, a special prize created to mark the magazine's 25th anniversary.
Jessie J and Adele both scored three nominations each, with both acts up for Best Female artist alongside PJ Harvey, Beyonce Knowles and Laura Marling.
Jessie is also nominated for Best Video for 'Do It Like A Dude', and Breakthrough Artist, while Adele received two nods in the Best Track category, for her singles 'Someone Like You' and 'Rolling In The Deep'.
The Greatest Act of the Last 25 Years category "celebrates the band or act who have had the most significant influence on Q's musical landscape", with readers allowed to vote for a shortlist of 25 acts, including Blur, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, Jack White, Nirvana, Radiohead, Jay-Z. Paul Weller, Green Day and The Cure.
The Q Awards - voted for by readers of the magazine - take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on October 24.
