Apple To Unveil Its Answer To Ultraviolet

As most of the major studios get set to launch a "cloud" service called "Ultraviolet" that would allow anyone purchasing a DVD movie to access it via any Internet connection afterwards, reports have emerged that Apple is planning a similar service linked to its iTunes store. With its new iOS5 released on Wednesday, Apple began allowing owners of its computers, iPhones, iPads, AppleTVs, and iPod Touches to stream music they buy on the iTunes store -- but not movies. That is expected to be remedied shortly, reports said. According to the Los Angeles Times , Apple also plans to allow people who buy DVD movies stored on Ultraviolet to access them via an app on Apple devices.
