The Knife - Heartbeats - Single Review
The Knife - Heartbeats - Single Review **The Knife
Heartbeats**
For a country living half the year in darkness and with more mystery than an entire murder mystery weekend, Sweden certainly know how to inject colour and flamboyance into their musical exports. The Knife are no exception, and are here to wake up the world with their scary looking gym clothes, like those of an early morning GMTV tv fitness instructor attempting to get you to put down that much needed coffee, and get moving.
There you have debut single “Heartbeats,” clever synth beats and Bjorkesque vocals, courtesy of Karin Dreijer, accompanied by her brother Olof, who clearly start as they mean to go on, instilling some fun and nostalgia into music. Don your disco shoes and travel back to the time of hula-hoops and electro madness, The Knife is here to stay.
Deep cuts is released 27 th September.
