Since they've been away it seems the boys from Starsailor might have been listening to more than a little Muse. Whether that's true or not, it is this injection of that Muse-style musical 'hugeness' brings a new dimension to a familiar sound.
Because, make no mistake, this is more or less what you'd expect from Starsailor. From the opening bars that unforgettable, unique vocal draws us into a big wall of melancholy guitar and dramatic piano. Very radio-friendly, fairly predictable. But it's that extra drama, fullness and urgency that make this a worthwhile listen.
