ChungKing release ‘Making Music’ on Gut Records. This track has a classic edge. The music comprises of a Beatles inspired influence but with a modern and down-low style. It has a nice breakbeat rhythm complimented by strings. keys and a wind section to give it a big sound. The guitar is minimal but adds a nice touch to the music. Jesse who sings on the track has a unique voice and laid back style. The backing also works well to give the track an emotive feel. This all adds together to make a sound similar to Morcheeba but slightly different due to their older influences. I’d say this is a pleasant track especially for those hazy Sundays.
