Mr Dan - "Settle Down" Single Review

News & Reviews 6. Mr Dan Settle Down (12" - (Virgin)) If youre an eager student of the Morcheeba school of thought youll be a fan of Mr Dans new single. Settle Down is a wishy-washy, cheeky pop number featuring the pre-pubescent, crystal-clear vocal of Harriet Scott. Its a tad removed from Mr Dans usual montage of hip-hop beats and maybe just a touch to shiny, but as the first single to be released from his new album How Things Work, its a good proposition for getting his music heard by a wider audience.
The Rugged Mix gives us more of the traditional Mr Dan beats, and the winning Danmass Mix takes the track onto a different level altogether with plump beats and rolling synths. Very good.
