Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Single Review - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Date With the Night (Polydor)
On which the super-vixen of NYC's seedy underworld - Karen O - screams, grunts and gasps like a women possessed, a slave to all those thrills on offer after dark. A heroine is born. Able assistance provided by Nick zinner's screeching, geeetar riffage.

'Date with the Night' is proof positive, if any were needed, that the Yeahs are much more than just another flash in the pan garage act. Truly unique and possessing one of the figureheads of the movement, they are destined to burn bright in our minds for some years yet, this unless their party hard ethic begets implosion.

Speaking of dates, the debut album, 'Fever to Tell', is released on the 28th of this month; better make sure you fix that one in your diary. Alistair Hann
