Fresh from bowling over UK and US critics and fans alike with debut hit ‘Take Me out’, the art-house poster boys of rock are back with Matinee, the second single to be taken from their critically acclaimed eponymous debut.

Matinee may not be as earth shatteringly brilliant as its predecessor but then how could it be? The band have succeeded in their ambition

to ‘make girls dance’, evidence of which can be seen in clubs nationwide and the catchy lyrics of frontman Alex Kapranos matinee coupled with the bass and drums interplay means the country’s hips will be wiggling for a good while yet.
