Kevin Mark Trail - last night (22/06/05) - Single Review

last night After collaborating with Mike Skinner on a couple of The Streets singles and always on live backing it seems that a bit of the vernacular has rubbed off. Easily lumped in with the council estate poetry of Skinnyman** and Skinner, KMT brings a slice of Jamaica into play too…it sort of… works.

“Bruv let me tell yabout, a little drama mixed wiv a little karma makes a prat out ov yow, makes a prat out ov yow”

So that’s the lyrics out the way. The production is nice with good use of a fat bass line, added to the lyrics almost distracts from the cheesiness of the melody. Don’t be put off with my lack of conviction for this tune though; I know there’s a lot more to come from this lad.
